Donations to the O.P.D

If anyone is willing to donate to the fund of the 4 Oakland Police Officers who were killed you can do so by going here.

A’s Honor the 4 Officers Killed

While in Arizona I heard about the 4 Oakland Police Officers who were killed in the line of duty. This is a great loss as they were/still are awesome Officers.

On Sunday at the Oakland A’s game in Arizona the announcer spoke over the loud speaker asking us to hold a moment of silence for the officers who were killed. I was in tears already because of my grandma dying. I am a huge supporter of the Military and Law Enforcement.  My thoughts and prayers are with the families of the 4 Oakland P.D. Officers.

THE POLICE OFFICER’S PRAYER

TO ST. MICHAEL

Police Officer’s Prayer to St. Michael

Saint Michael, heaven’s glorious commissioner of police,
who once so neatly and successfully cleared God’s premises
of all its undesirables, look with kindly and professional
eyes on your earthly force.

Give us cool heads, stout hearts, and uncanny flair for
investigation and wise judgement.

Make us the terror of burglars, the friend of children and
law-abiding citizens, kind to strangers, polite to bores,
strict with law-breakers and impervious to temptations.

You know, Saint Michael, from your own experiences
with the devil that the police officer’s lot on earth is not
always a happy one; but your sense of duty that so
pleased God, your hard knocks that so surprised the
devil, and your angelic self-control give us inspiration.

And when we lay down our night sticks, enroll us in your
heavenly force, where we will be as proud to guard the
throne of God as we have been to guard the city of all
the people. Amen.

Rest in Peace

Not the same

It is not the same here in Arizona without my mom with us. After receiving the call last night about my grandmother’s passing. My dad and I drove my mom to the airport in Arizona to fly back home. We will not be coming home until Monday due to the cost of the tickets.

Today my dad and I went to the A’s training camp again and then drove around looking for garage sales. My dad dropped me off at the hotel so I could rest a bit more while he went looking for more sales.

Ha ha ha… Another man’s junk is just another mans treasure.
When my dad returned we left for the Oakland A’s game being played at the Phoenix Muni. The A’s were playing against the San Francisco Giants.

Photobucket Me again but at our seats.

Goodness Goodyear!

Goodness it took us a few wrong turns to finally find the NEW Cleveland Indians Goodyear Ballpark. It was well worth getting lost even though we were trying to follow the tour bus taking the Oakland A’s Boosters to the park.

On our way there we drove past an old cilivan air plane graveyard.

Goodyear Ballpark is really cool looking but is out in the boonies. LOL

She went peacefully…..

Hello all-

Just a quick note. I am kind of numb right now because my grandmother passed away tonight at 7:21 pm. My folks and I were at the Oakland A’s training facility when my mom got a phone call from the nurse this morning where my grandma is at telling us that she was put on oxygen.
Then just a little while ago on our drive back home from having a delicious dinner at the Italian Grotto in Scottsdale. That my grandma had passed away.

It was hot when we arrived!

We landed at Sky Harbor at 1045 am earlier than we were suppose to. From there we collected our bags and picked up our rental vehicle. If I had a nickle for everytime we took the wrong exit to our hotel. I’d be rich! lol But this time we got it right for some odd reason.

We arrived at our hotel to find out that we were not going to get the room we had asked for. Of course,my father was ticked off! He threatened to goto another hotel but in the end that got the room where we wanted to be. The Hotel staff told us that the room would not be ready until 3pm.
We had already planned to go see a Milwaukee Brewers game in Maryvale. The 1st time we went to that stadium we were quite amazed by its layout. So we planned on going there again today even if it was just for awhile until our room was ready.Photobucket

Gotta thank my mom for taking the photo of me! My eyes are closed…LOL
The three of us left hot and tired from the plane ride, collecting our luggage and going to the game. We arrived back at the hotel only to find out our room wasn’t ready! The Hotel staff told us to come back at 3 pm. GrrrrrrrrrPhotobucket

I was really looking forward

to going to Arizona until my grandma had a stroke that has left her paralyzed on her left side. She can’t talk and can’t swallow anything. I have been going to see her everyday since she had the stroke on Thursday.

I am so afaird thst if we go to Arizona she will pass away. So in the beginning I was really excited about Arizona but now I just don’t care. All I want to do is stay here atleast I will be at a closer distance in case anything does happen.
I saw her yesterday in the hospital just talking to her, trying to get her to squeeze my hand and watching her sleep. One of her doctors came in to talk to me to let me know how she was doing but I didn’t like what he had to tell me. I immediately broke down in tears all over again.
I am trying my very best to concentrate on packing and getting ready for the trip but everytime I do. I feel guilty for going away.
I am at a loss for words right now.

Still here…

I am still here just busy with work and listening to the A’s games when I am not at work.
